ISIN ( INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES IDENTIFICATION NUMBER )
This is a unique international security identification code denoted in 12 digits, with the first two letters designating Turkey, recorded as "TR" in accordance with international standards to enable security transactions and international capital market transactions in a fully automated environment.
As a national numbering agency, Takasbank has been a member of the ANNA since 1995. In our country TAKASBANK assigns ISIN codes (ISO 6166) to equities, government bonds, investment / exchange traded / private pension funds, corporate bonds, all kinds of certificates, futures and options contracts, indices, commodities, electronic product certificates (EPCs) and for other securities and financial instruments.
All transactions by foreign ISIN codes (ISIN code obtained from overseas) trading on the domestic securities markets and by domestic ISIN codes assigned in Turkey are processed by Takasbank, and distribution and notifications are made to institutions which request these.
ISIN codes assignment request are done by the issuers filling the application forms. The application forms vary with respect to each type of security (government debt securities, private sector debt instruments, foreign stock, certificates, warant, fund, share, e-warehouse receipt).
