PRECIOUS METALS LENDING MARKET

Precious Metals Lending Market Collateral Management

Takasbank is responsible for the acceptance, custody, and valuation of collateral required for trading in the Precious Metals Lending Market operating within Borsa Istanbul Inc. Precious Metals and Diamond Market.

Assets that can be accepted as collateral in the Market are Turkish Lira cash, Convertible Foreign Currency (USD, EUR), Government Domestic Debt Securities, Lease Certificates issued by the Republic of Türkiye Undersecretariat of Treasury Asset Leasing Company, Letter of Guarantee (TRY, USD), and Republic of Türkiye Undersecretariat of Treasury Foreign Debt Securities (Eurobond). Letters of guarantee are retained by Borsa Istanbul.

Members may perform collateral deposit and withdrawal transactions via member interface screens or by written instruction. The deadline for collateral deposit transactions is 19.00 on full business days and 12.45 on half business days.
