Takasbank and Central Registry Agency are in Cooperation with Six Group of Switzerland
On 3-4 April 2012, Turkish delegation of experts headed by Mr. Murat Ulus, General Manager and Board Member of Takasbank and Mr. Yakup Ergincan, CEO / Board Member of Central Registry Agency (CRA) visited SIX Securities Services Group (SIX x-clear ve SIX SIS) at Switzerland. During this visit, a “Memorandum of Understanding” was signed among Takasbank, CRA and SIX Securities Services Group.
As known, Takasbank is continuing its studies in its responsibility within the framework of “Istanbul International Finance Center” Project action plan number 15 aiming to develop “Central Counterparty” mechanism for clearing & settlement transactions and action plan number 17 aiming to provide international settlement and custody services in cooperation with Capital Markets Board, Istanbul Stock Exchange, Turkish Derivatives Exchange, Central Registry Agency and other related capital market institutions. Regarding these studies, it is decided to cooperate with SIX Securities Services Group, one of the most reputable institutions providing international settlement and custody services in the world.
The aim of the MoU is to exchange information and know-how regarding central counterparty functions as well as international settlement and custody services. Following the signing of MoU Agreement, a two day workshop is performed regarding technical operation details as well as possible strategic cooperation opportunities.
