Established in Brussels in 1973, the "Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT)" is a communications network that provides information on the financial transactions performed by financial institutions around the world in a standardized manner in a secure environment. SWIFT is a cooperative society in which transactions related to the financial world are carried out quickly, precisely and reliably, in which its members are also its shareholders.
