History While the settlement of securities buy/sell transactions were realized among the members when ISE started to operate, the settlement and custody services began to be provided by a department established within the Stock Exchange as of 1988. In 1992, settlement and custody duty had been handed over to a company called ISE Settlement and Custody Company Inc, which was established with the partnership of ISE and its members. This company was transformed to a sector-specific investment bank named as ISE Settlement and Custody INC.-Takasbank, with the Resolution of Council of Ministers no. 95/6551 published in the Official Gazette dated March 23, 1995. As of 1996, Takasbank is engaged in specialized banking services for capital markets in accordance with the provisions of related legislation.
