EMKT is a system established within the framework of CBT, facilitating the real-time execution of buy-sell, transfer and other related transactions of dematerialized securities in an electronic environment and in an integrated manner with EFT. Brokerage houses, which are members of TETS (Takasbank Electronic Transfer System) can join this system through Takasbank.
1. Transfer of securities from an account with Takasbank to the account of a bank with CBT:
Brokerage houses, which are members of TETS, (Takasbank Electronic Transfer System) can execute EMKT transactions through Takasbank system by remote access.
The transactions take place in 3 phases; being entry, verification and approval. The system does not allow the execution of two consequent transactions by the same user during the realization of these phases.
The participants are given user code and password by Takasbank to have access to TETS system. The users can conclude the transactions during verification and approval phases by using their access numbers.
For securities transfers without payment, AKTR-ISTE message and for transactions with delivery versus payment, (OKT) SATS-ISTE, REPO-ISTE, REDN-ISTE messages are used depending on the type of the transaction.
Delivery versus payment transactions can be realized partially. In order for the transaction to take place partially, the selling institution has to mark the partial delivery option. In this case, the selling institution can send cash in more than one part and conclude the transaction.
In delivery versus payment transactions, the institution buying the security will be sent by EMKT system SATS-UYAR, REPO-UYAR, REDN-UYAR messages depending on the type of the transaction. TETS members can follow these messages from “EMKT Transactions” screen and automatically execute the entry of ALIS-ISTE message for the message chosen. The transaction is completed through verification of the message by another user.
Brokerage houses which are not members of TETS, can request the transfer of the securities in their accounts to another account with CBT by sending a written instruction.
The banks can transfer the fixed income securities in their accounts with Takasbank to their accounts with CBT from conditional/free transfer entry and approval screens (by choosing Conditional/Free: Free; Type: EFT; Kind: Security). However, it is not possible to transfer to another bank’s account with CBT.
Securities transfer via EMKT message can be made until 17:00.
2. Transfer of securities from an account with CBT to accounts with Takasbank:
In order to transfer securities from their accounts with CBT to their accounts with Takasbank, the banks will send AKTR-ISTE message to 007 depot account of our bank with CBT as branch code 88888. Following the execution of the transaction by EMKT center, the free depot balance no. 501 of the related bank with Takasbank will automatically be increased by the system resulting from the AKTR-BILD message sent to our bank.
If the banks will send AKTR-ISTE message from their accounts with CBT to the account of a brokerage house with our bank, they will send to 007 depot account of our bank with CBT by stating the branch code of the related brokerage house. Following the execution of the transaction by EMKT center, the free depot balance no. 501 of the related brokerage house with Takasbank will automatically be increased by the system resulting from the AKTR-BILD message sent to our bank. |
